Agronomica has been established as an independent specialist research and consultancy
firm covering sustainable agriculture and related areas. The firm aims to serve
both commercial stakeholders in the food chain as well as policy makers concerned
with agriculture, food and the rural environment policies and issues.
It currently provides the following services:
- Research on developments in sustainable agriculture world-wide. The aim is to provide
information and analysis to help commercial organisations develop strategies in response
to changing external pressures and demands. For policy-makers the aim is to undertake
research whose findings help in policy formulation and decision-making.
- Consultancy follows on from research and makes use both of relevant research-derived
information and analysis together with our consultants’ experience and prior knowledge.
We prefer to work in partnership with a client organisation’s own management to develop
effective strategies, programmes and projects with clearly defined objectives, scope
and measurable outcomes.
- Technical services to assist both commercial and public sector organisations implement
sustainable agriculture programmes and projects. Such technical assistance can range
from organising a one-day workshop or training session to providing a team of experts
to manage – for example - a regional or national IPM programme.
Agronomica has particular expertise in planning and executing technically-complex
multi-country market research, in economic cost-benefit analysis particularly in
a policy or strategic context, and in designing appropriate programmes and projects
to achieve specific sustainable objectives.
